We had a visitor from Orana Park

We are learning about animals and had a visitor from a zoo. Everyone was very excited to learn a lot more from her and asked her heaps of GREAT  questions!

Special Pat

Some of us were allowed to pat him and it was special! We also learnt that we should NOT approach and pat the guide dogs when we see them.

Guide Dog Visit!

To finish off our wonderful topic this term, we had a guide dog. It was awesome to learn what they do and how they are trained.

House Colour Day!

'Amazing Animals' Unit!

Room 6 and 15 started our unit, 'Amazing Animals'! We watched a fabulous video clip and had a gorilla to interview using 'yes/no questions' as she COULD answer those questions. Come in and have a look how many animals we know.

WISE Challenge: Marshmallow and Spaghetti Tower!

Room 6 completed our first W.I.S.E. challenge. We had to build the tallest tower with marshmallow and spaghetti, without eating them, and our tower had to be freestanding for at least 10 seconds.

We Worked together: listening to our buddy, sharing our ideas and helping each other.
We Inquired: thinking about how to make it strong and tall.
We Self managed: working quietly, following instructions, being tidy and finishing on time.
We were Enthusiastic: encouraging each other, not giving up and having fun!!!
